“Po$t American” dei Dead Pioneers è un viaggio sonoro e politico che amplifica l’urgenza dell’hardcore di Washington D.C. e ne intreccia le ossessioni più oscure con le atmosfere claustrofobiche del post-punk. Ogni traccia funziona come tessera di un mosaico rabbioso, in cui l’adrenalina si mescola a riflessioni storiche e sociali, dando vita a un album coerente e stratificato.
La title track Po$t American infatti avanza senza esitare e trasforma il battito in un incedere che ruggisce. Gregg Deal demolisce il mito del sogno americano con testi incandescenti contro il whitewashing culturale sui movimenti di basso pachidermico e i riff abrasivi di Josh Rivera e Abe Brennan.
