Roody’s most recent single “Zan” (woman) speaks of the struggle that the people, especially women, have with the authorities, and honors the children who have been killed. The song was written and recorded after the major fire at Tehran’s notorious Evin prison, where political prisoners and arrested protesters are held in Tehran.
