Con la parodia dei naufraghi Gaber “volgarizza” simpaticamente la vecchia teoria - cominciata da Rousseau e poi ripresa dai padri del socialismo - del "comunismo primitivo" della preistoria basato ahimè sulla penuria alimentare, e l’"invenzione" dello Stato che da necessità organizzativa diventa poi - istituendo la proprietà privata - espressione e strumento del dominio di privilegiati a scapito di altri, di una classe sociale su un’altra.
J.J.Rousseau apriva la seconda parte del suo “Discours sur l'origine et les fondements de l'inégalité parmi les hommes”(1754) dicendo:

« Regardez-les défiler !» est une de ces chansons de Léo Ferré qui une fois entrée dans une tête a bien du mal à en sortir. C'est une chanson très courte, mais qui marque, marque, marque. Elle dit non pas l'horreur de la guerre, mais la mécanique de la guerre, qui comme une vis sans fin gigantesque entraîne des milliers, des millions d'hommes vers un destin sans avenir, qui comme une presse énorme écrase sans se presser d'abord la main, puis le bras, puis le reste de celui qui y a mis le petit doigt.
Mais c'est aussi et en même temps, une chanson qui appelle à la désertion armée (comme dans L'Internationale : ils sauront bientôt que nos balles sont pour nos propres généraux...), à la révolte, à la révolution... On ne sait jamais pourquoi ces choses-là ne se font pas.
Comme disait Vian à propos du Déserteur, ce n'est pas là une chanson antimilitariste, c'est une... (Continues)

Ballata per un eroe
Nel 1996 Farassino ha re-inciso con nuovi arrangiamenti alcune sue canzoni in italiano tra le quali, appunto, Ballata per un eroe.
Ha così ripristinato , nella terza strofa,il verso originale : "Nel nome sputtanato del buon dio", che mai avrebbe passato la censura.
Già era abbastanza scandalosa la canzone, tanto da avere suscito interrogazioni parlamentari con l'accusa di disfattismo.
Una precisione, senza entrare in polemica, : quando Farassino aderì alla lega, il progetto politico era molto diverso dall'attuale e molto più legato al territorio e alla riscoperta delle radici.
Quindi non stupisce ( non me, perlomeno ) l'adesione iniziale di Gipo

The Queen And The Soldier
Sono cresciuta ascoltando i racconti dei miei nonni che oggi non ci sono più e che hanno vissuto due guerre mondiali: è da loro che ho imparato l'odio per la guerra e il rispetto della diversità. Per questo quando ho scoperto questo bellissimo sito l'ho subito inserito tra i miei preferiti e ho deciso di dare un piccolo contributo, traducendo alcune canzoni: conosco solo un po' d'inglese e sto scegliendo tra tutte quelle canzoni che qualsiasi principiante può tradurre senza impazzire, preferendo quelle che non parlino di una guerra in particolare: non ci sono guerre più o meno giuste, TUTTE LE GUERRE SONO IGNOBILI.
So bene che delle semplici canzoni possono fare ben poco per cambiare le assurde situazioni di odio che vediamo ovunque, ma se anch'io posso aiutare a far riflettere sono sicura che non sarà fatica sprecata, in attesa che queste sconvolgenti poesie in musica diventino solo una testimonianza di un tempo lontano

Il testo di questa canzone è abbastanza oscuro, ma è più che chiaro l’omaggio a John Lennon in apertura con l’attacco di Imagine e soprattutto nel bridge retto dalla frase “I must start a revolution from my bed”, riferita ai bed-in for peace organizzati da John Lennon e Yoko Ono nel 1969. Sally però non si sa chi cavolo sia…
“Don’t Look Back in Anger” was released as the fourth single off of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, February 19th 1996. In 2006, it was included in the “Best Of”-compilation Stop The Clocks and in 2010 it was included in the singles collection Time Flies… 1994-2009.
Noel Gallagher also admits that he was under the influence of illegal substances when he wrote the song and to this day he claims he does not know what the lyrics mean.

A volte la storia degli uomini, delle donne e delle loro vicende prende strane pieghe. E tra queste restano incastrati eventi che poi nessuno trova più per decenni, a volte per secoli. E' il caso della strage di Balvano, forse il più grande disastro ferroviario del mondo. Avvenne in Italia, 61 anni fa.
In moltissimi non ne avevamo mai sentito parlare sino all'uscita, qualche settimana fa, del libro "Balvano 1944" (Mursia, pp. 292, euro 20.00), ricostruzione minuziosa degli eventi a firma di Gianluca Barneschi, di mestiere avvocato e per passione storico.
I motivi di tanto silenzio sono diversi. Intricati, confusi, in parte dovuti a precise volontà politiche in parte al caso e alla noncuranza, in parte alla voglia di seppellire velocemente quei morti e dimenticarli. Sono tante le... (Continues)

C'est l'histoire d'un jeune homme, orphelin, qui s'en fut manifester contre la venue à Pise d'un député fasciste, le dénommé Niccolai. Il a rencontré les “forces de l'ordre”; tabassé, il agonisa en prison deux jours, puis il mourut de ses blessures, sans soin. On voulut cacher l'horreur en l'enterrant en cachette, en cachant son corps dans la terre... Vite, vite... C'était compter sans ses camarades, sans cette solidarité des opprimés... Ils lui firent des funérailles aux poings levés. Le 9 mai 1972. Depuis, la guerre contre les pauvres, contre les libertaires continue... Il s'appelait Franco Serantini. Il était né à Cagliari, il avait vingt ans, il est mort anarchiste.

Avevamo, con mille rimpianti, “chiuso” la sezione dedicata a Phil Ochs con il suo disperato testamento, No More Songs; evidentemente non avevamo tenuto conto della vitalità del grande Phil, e soprattutto delle canzoni che non aveva mai inserito negli album in studio.
