Durante le proteste popolari dell’estate 2022 nello Sri Lanka (la cosiddetta Aragalaya “Rivolta”) che hanno portato alla destituzione ed alla fuga del presidente Gotabaya Rajapaksa ed alle dimissioni del primo ministro Ranil Wickremesinghe, la cantante Samanalee Fonseka e il cantante Indrachapa Liyanage hanno interpretato l’inno delle proteste, supportati dal partito di sinistra National People’s Power (NPP) (in singalese: Jathika Jana Balawegaya o JJB). Tale inno, il cui testo è stato scritto da Wimal Ketipearachchi, indovinate un po’ che cos’è? Non ve lo dico, ma vi dico solo le iniziali: B C.
