Le 6 septembre

Le 6 septembre
"Black september" was the name of a palestinian movement (stamped "terrorist") in the beginning of the 70's, which took its name in remembrance of the slaughters perpetrated by the Jordanian army against palestinian fedayeens in September 1970.
The song says "Septembre Noir assassin, Djemila, ton seul droit c'est de crever en silence" : "Black september murderer, Djemila, your only right is to die without a word"...This tragic background is softened by the words of love Brigitte and Areski keep whispering to each other, among several nonsensical jokes of which they have the secret.

Moi aussi

Moi aussi
1972

This song could also be put under "Brigitte Fontaine", since she sings half of it...
Areski probably wrote the amazigh part, being of berber origin. I couldn't find any written text of the lines in amazigh, only the french part. Would love to read it here !

Ce n'est pas un ennemi

Ce n'est pas un ennemi
Album: "Vous et nous" - Brigitte Fontaine

I was about to enter the song under "Brigitte Fontaine" name, since it is found in the album "Vous et nous", but then realized that it was completely written and sung by Areski Belkacem, Brigitte's eternal artistical romantic partner, co-writer and "muse"...So I thought it would be time that Areski had his own entry.
