We've seen it again and again. When the imperialist powers decide on which nation to invade next, the propaganda machine goes into action, with the inevitable comparison of the target country's leader to Hitler. Of course, getting their hands on the nation's resources is not the goal; the intervention is "humanitarian" with every excuse in the book thrown at us.
You don’t need storm troops, you don’t need an iron fist,
Or to oppress ethnic groups, to make the Empire’s hit list.
If there’s oil under your nation,
Or you’re in a strategic location,
Even if you were recently embraced,
You’re the Hitler of the Month,
And you gotta be replaced.
Makes no difference if yesterday, profits flowed so freely,
And hand in hand with the CIA, you followed orders to a ‘T.’
You’ve fallen out of imperial favor,
And what’s the payoff for your labor?
You’re a target of the biggest gun of all;

And they’ve pegged you for a fall.

It’s happened more than once, you ought to know the score,

The media demonize, the politician cries,
Crocodile tears, while all the sloganeers,
Call for your demise, as they terrorize and bleed ya.
Does the bourgeoisie surmise that we all…have amnesia?
You may try to make a deal, and to accommodate,
But they aim to put the seal,
On your rule and on your fate.
Maybe you’re ruthless, brutal and tough;
That doesn’t mean that you’re puppet enough!
Their hegemonic drive is what it’s all about.
