Infatti, dice:
"Ah ! que maudite soit la guerre
Qui fait faire de ces coups-là !
Qu'on emporte mon verre !

Rainer sculpteur

PARODIA INGLESE / ENGLISH PARODY - "Hello, Mr. Truman"

Kindly contributed by Sean Smith
Gentilmente contribuita da Sean Smith

"My father and three of his brothers were veterans of the Korean War. And I grew up hearing them play their guitars and singing a song they learned in Korea. The melody is that of Lili Marleen but the lyrics spoke of the irritation of some soldiers at being in Korea after having just fought WWII. I'll recount a verse the best I can remember it. Though there's one word I can't recall exactly. I want to say "Rome" but that doesn't really make sense to me. Is anyone else familiar with this version? I found one brief reference to it a few years ago written by someone on Usenet." (Sean Smith)

(Continues)

Album: "Christ Illusion"

"Jihad" is a song by the American thrash metal band Slayer which appears on their 2006 album Christ Illusion. The song portrays the imagined viewpoint of a terrorist who has participated in the September 11, 2001 attacks, concluding with spoken lyrics taken from words left behind by Mohamed Atta; Atta was named by the FBI as the "head suicide terrorist" of the first plane to crash into the World Trade Center. "Jihad" was primarily written by guitarist Jeff Hanneman; the lyrics were co-authored with vocalist Tom Araya.

No One Died When Clinton Lied?

Steve Kalafut
Critics of Dubya claim that his lies cost people their lives, but Mr. Bill's did not. However, just as the WMD's didn't turn up in Iraq, the mass graves and "tens of thousands" of genocide victims did not turn up in Kosovo. Instead, the number of Kosovars killed by Milosevic was between 2000 and 3000, and might even be less than the number of people killed by the US/UK bombing. Thus, it is quite possible that the war in Kosovo, and the loss of life therein, may have resulted from a lie. It is also possible that Mr. Bill honestly but wrongly believed what he said about mass graves and dead Kosovars. I will gladly give him the benefit of the doubt when Dubya's critics do the same for him.

Kosovo

Shqiptare Boys
[1999]

"Kosovo" is a parody of the Beach Boys hit song "Kokomo". It was produced in 1999 by Seattle radio DJ Bob Rivers. The song harshly criticises US involvement in the Kosovo War:

We'll kick some ass,
and then we'll see how it goes,
and then we really don't know.
Good luck to Kosovo.

According to Rivers, "...the intent of the song was to mock my own country for its bullying ways around the world. The idea was to point out how casually the U.S. plays World Police. The song takes on the persona of the U.S. government, ridiculing the fact that we push others around without much concern."

In May 2005 a group of Norwegian peacekeepers in Kosovo parodied the music video for "Kokomo," using Rivers' song with their own hand-held video camera footage. In the parody, the soldiers imitate dance moves and scenes from the original music video in desolate war-torn areas around... (Continues)

Lili Marleen [Lied eines jungen Wachtpostens]

Lyrics and music by Pino Marino
