Contrariamente a quanto affermato a suo tempo dal nostro amico Holger Terp, la canzone non è stata soltanto tradotta in danese, ma anche cantata, nella sua lingua materna, dal famoso cantautore e rockstar Kim Larsen. Presumibilmente, l'autore della traduzione è Kim Larsen stesso:

Può succedere che un episodio storico quasi dimenticato venga ricordato e rimesso in auge da una canzone; così è accaduto alla Jutlandia, una nave danese che servì da ospedale durante la guerra di Corea, tra il 21 gennaio 1951 e il 16 ottobre 1953. Kim Larsen, una delle più amate rockstar danesi (ma notissimo in tutta la Scandinavia), scrisse questa canzone nel 1986 inserendola nell'album Forklædt som voksen (alla lettera qualcosa come "vestito da adulto" o "travestito da grande"), all'epoca in cui suonava assieme alla band dei Bellami; divenne uno dei maggiori hits in tutti i paesi scandinavi, quell'anno. L'album ha una curiosa copertina "canina":
