Stopover in Grado [1]Escala en Grado

I made a stopover in GradoHe hecho escala en Grado
on Easter's SundayEl domingo de Pascua
People on the streetsGente por las calles
were running for the MassCorría yendo a misa

The air thick with incenseEl aire cargado de incienso
At the walls the Stations of the CrossEn las paredes las estaciones del calvario
People faking raptureGente falsamente absorta
Waiting for redemption from their sinsQue esperaba la redención de los pecados

Agnus dei,
Cordero de Dios
Qui tollis peccata mundiQue quitas el pecado del mundo, ten piedad
Dona eis requiem,Dales la paz
Dona eis requiem [2]Dales la paz
My style is as oldMi estilo es viejo
As Titian's house in Pieve di CadoreComo la casa de Tiziano en Pieve di Cadore,
In my blood there is no waterEn mi sangre no hay agua
But gall, with the power to heal youSino hiel que te podrá curar

One lightens with immensityNos ilumina de intensidad
Showing a bit the tongue to the priest giving the Host,Mostrando un poco la lengua al cura que da la ostia,
One feels in paradiseSe siente en el paraíso
Singing psalms a bit out of tuneCantando los salmos un poco desentonado

Agnus dei,
Cordero de Dios
Qui tollis peccata mundiQue quitas el pecado del mundo, ten piedad
Dona eis requiem,Dales la paz
Dona eis requiemDales la paz
[1] Grado is small town and touristic port in the north east of Italy. Pieve di Cadore is an even smaller mountain town where Titian was born in 1488- his (possibly non-authentic) birthplace still stands, close to the central square.

[2] In latin: "Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy, grant them rest". The "grant them rest" indicates that this is not the normal Mass version of the Agnus Dei, but the one for the Requiem Mass.
