REQUIEM | REQUIEM |
| Up there are singing the doves of war while down here are yelling at the crossroads the trumpets Let's go down, everyone ... down |
| And still daylight hasn't come on this road and the ice all around goes like a spy in the eyes of those who cry poetry and, like you, stay there you and your instrument which never has played again |
| And so, please step ahead, go there we're not so many but if you begin a note we give each other a start, already lost amid the crackling here like a prayer which looks for a God |
| Up there the thuds of bombs are rolling like earthquakes while down here mines are mute graves under the steps ... and down |
| And still a rain as dark as coffee which drenches things in fear and behind it's dragging craziness across the pavement of an agonizing world which emits a moan on the trail of a long requiem |
| And so, please play hard more than that more and more than you can harder than death, which is out here and inside ourselves higher, yes, than everything else 'cause here is the music, which never died |
