MY HOME IS IN MY HEAD	בֵּיתִּי פִי רַאסִי (בֵּיתִי בְּרֹאשִׁי)

What is a home? You tell me	מַהוּ בַּיִת? תַּגִּיד לִי אַתָּה
I found it neither in the city; nor in the village	לֹא מָצָאתִי בָּעִיר וְלֹא בַּכְּפָר
Neither in Ibb nor in Sanaa’	לֹא בְּ'אִבּ' וְלֹא בְּ'צַנְעַא'
I am a woman,	אֲנִי אִשָּׁה,
I am a man,	אֲנִי גֶּבֶר,
I am a journey	אֲנִי מַסָּע
My home is in my head	בֵּיתִי בְּרֹאשִׁי
A refuge for my heart	מִשְׁכָּן לְלִבִּי
Wherever I go, it is with me	לְאָן שֶׁאֵלֵךְ, הוּא אִתִּי
What is family? You tell me	מַהִי מִשְׁפָּחָה? תַּגִּיד לִי אַתָּה
At times I am a man, at times a woman	אֲנִי פַּעַם גֶּבֶר וּפַעַם אִשָּׁה
A mother and father to my little girl	אֵם וְאָב לְבִתִּי הַקְּטַנָּה
My home is in my head	בֵּיתִי בְּרֹאשִׁי
A refuge for my heart	מִשְׁכָּן לְלִבִּי
Wherever I go, it is with me	לְאָן שֶׁאֵלֵךְ, הוּא אִתִּי
