MARCHIN 'ON

Mother, can you feel this cold wind blowing?
Mother, can you see through distant eyes?
And shall this coop a far end,
shall we ever meet again
As I'm walking on a road that never ends

Mother, they say our enemies are good guys
They till the ground as we all do in our homeland
But I see many huge cold tanks
stapping lightling every night
Oh mother, am I really going to fight?

Mother, I am dressed up like a soldier
but they say now war is [...]
Even our hearts are beating slow
Even my shoes are now long gone
Oh mother, we are still marchin' on

Mother are you still tending the garden?
I'd pay a gold mine to work back there with you
to watch the trees beyond the pond
to feel the warm breeze of the sea
Oh mother, why did they lie to me?

Mother, here the rain is falling harder
and God has turned his eyes away from me
I don't why we are fighting on
Here in this land so far from home
Oh mother, we are still marchin'on

Mother, can you fell this cold wind blowing?
Mother, can you see through distant eyes?
And shall this night will ever end,
shall we ever meet again
As I'm walking on a road that never ends

We don't why we are fighting on
Though we're stil trying to carry on
Oh mother, we are still marchin'on
E quanti occhi senza niente accanto a me

Mama i dixe che i russi xe buoni
Che li xe contadini come noi italiani
Ma vedo i grandi carri armati e no li sembra mai finir
Ti sa mama mia, xe ‘l to fiol che ‘l va a morir

Mama, quanto freddo e quanta neve

E quanti occhi senza niente accanto a me
