Majd megtalálja azt első Ferenc Jóska,	Lo troverà per primo Cecco Beppe, che mi manda
Ki elvitet a harctérre, nem is hozat többé vissza.	Sul campo di battaglia e non mi richiamerà più indietro.

Mikor szürkébe öltöztem, azon kezdtem gondolkozni:	Quando mi son vestito in grigio, questo ho cominciato a pensare:
Ki lesz az én útitársam, ha ja harctérre kell menni?	Chi sarà il mio compagno di strada, se dovrò andare sul campo di battaglia?
Majd lesz útitársam az én jó pajtásom,	Il mio compagno di strada sarà il mio buon amico,
Ki megássa a síromat doberdói hegy aljában.	Che mi scaverà la fossa sotto al monte di Doberdò.
