Version française – LA GUERRE DES IMBÉCILES – Marco Valdo M.I. ...

THE NITWITS' WAR

Determined and united we were marching to war,
our drums were making the ground tremble.
While our songs were shaking celestial sphere,
and the forests were bowing in front of us.
We are strong, we do not fear any enemy
Let’s go to the victory!
We will scatter salt as well!
There will be cries and teeth’s screeching
we will gain the victory for our people!
But arriving to the battle field
we found alive only a scoundrel
who told us that the slaughter was already finished
but at least our allies had won…
Who make us do it, tell me my friend
to go at war for our god?
Let’s go to the barrels and take off the covers
let’s start to drink with our jaws well open,
to burp and celebrate all night long
the good gift the death made us!
