| وقالوا : أنت قاتلْ ! | And Said: You’re a murderer! |
| أخذوا طعامَهُ ’ والملابسَ ’ والبيارقْ | They took his food, clothes and pitchers, |
| ورموه في زنزانة الموتى , | And through him in the Dead Cell, |
| وقالوا : أنت سارقْ ! | And said: You’re a thief! |
| طردوه من كل المرافئْ | They kicked him out of all ports, |
| أخذوا حبيبته الصغيرة ’ | They took his little beloved one, |
| ثم قالوا : أنتا لاجئْ! | And said: You’re a refugee! |
| يا دامي العينين , والكفين ! | O you, the one with the bleeding eyes and palms! |
| إن الليل زائلْ | The night is soon to be gone, |
| لا غرفةُ التوقيف باقيةٌ | Neither the interrogation room is going to last |
| ولا زَرَدُ السلاسلْ ! | Nor the chains are! |
| نيرون مات ’ ولم تمت روما... | Nero died, but Rome didn’t |
| بعينيها تقاتلْ ! | With its eyes, it’s fighting! |
