EPITAPH ON A TYRANTTYRANNIN MUISTOKIRJOITUS

Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after,‎Täydellisyys, jonkinlainen, oli hänen tavoitteenaan,
And the poetry he invented was easy to understand;‎ja helppoja olivat ymmärtää hänen runonsa.
He knew human folly like the back of his hand,‎Ihmisten metkut hän tunsi kuin omat taskunsa,
And was greatly interested in armies and fleets;‎ja armeijat ja laivastot häntä kovin kiinnostivat.
When he laughed, respectable senators burst with laughter,‎Kun hän nauroi, päättäjät nauroivat hänen mukanaan,
And when he cried the little children died in the streets.‎ja kun hän itki, pienet lapset kaduilla kuolivat.
