Then the tide will sound And the wind will pound And the morning will be breaking. Oh the fishes will laugh As they swim out of the path And the seagulls they'll be smiling. And the rocks on the sand Will proudly stand, The hour that the ship comes in. And the words that are used For to get the ship confused Will not be understood as they're spoken. Com la calma en el vent abans que comenci l'huracà. Serà l'hora en que el vaixell arribi. Oh, el mar es dividirà i el vaixell xocarà i les sorres del litoral s'estremiran. Després la marea retrunyirà i les onades colpejaran i el matí estarà despuntant, Oh, els peixos riuran mentre neden fora de la senda i les gavines estaran somrient i les roques sobre la sorra s'alçaran orgulloses. Serà l'hora en que el vaixell arribi. Iel sol respectarà cadascun dels rostres de la coberta. Serà l'hora en que el vaixell arribi. Després les sorres estendran una catifa daurada per tal queels vostres peus cansats puguin tocar-la i els homes savis del vaixell et recordaran de nou que el món sencer està contemplant. Oh, els enemics s'aixecaran amb el somni recent en els seus ulls i saltaran bruscament dels seus llits i pensaran que estan somiant però es pessegaran i xisclaran i comprendran que la cosa va de debò. Serà l'hora en que el vaixell arribi. Llavors elevaran les mans dient que accepten les vostres exigències però des de la proa cridarem: "els vostres dies estan contats". I com la tribu del faraó s'ofegaran en la marea i com Goliat, seran conquerits. |
