First they came for the communists,	Prima vennero per i comunisti,
I did not speak out	e io non dissi nulla
because I was not a communist.	perché non ero comunista.

When they came for the social democrats,	Poi vennero vennero per i socialdemocratici
I did not speak out	io non dissi nulla
because I was not a social democrat.	perché non ero socialdemocratico

When they came for the trade unionists	Poi vennero per i sindacalisti,
I did not speak out	e io non dissi nulla
because I was not a trade unionist.	perché non ero sindacalista.

When they came for the Jews	Poi vennero per gli ebrei,
I did not speak out	e io non dissi nulla
because I was not a Jew;	perché non ero ebreo.

And when they came for me,	Poi vennero a prendere me.
there was no one left to speak out.	E non era rimasto più nessuno che potesse dire qualcosa.
