(Not Moving)

[Jeanetta Calhoun-Not Moving - Maurizio Curadi ]
(1989)
That is only tomorrow
rising blood red in the east
and yesterday
it was the same.
Don't ask why (you know why)

Every day the big man makes war;
kills my brothers and my sisters
then poisons Mother Earth.

That is only yesterday
dying blood red in the west.
Tomorrow it will be the same
so I cry ( you know why)

Today is tomorrow on
the far side of the world
and anything is possible
if you only see the blood.

That is only yesterday
dying blood red in the west.
Tomorrow does'nt have to be the same.

You know why ( we have to try)

Versione italiana di Paolo Sollier
LA BALLATA DI SORELLA SERPENTE

È soltanto domani
Il sangue nascente rosso nell'est
E ieri era lo stesso
Non chiedere perché (lo sai)

Ogni giorno l'uomo potente fa la guerra
Uccide i miei fratelli e le mie sorelle
Poi avvelena la Madre Terra

È soltanto ieri
Il sangue morente rosso nell'ovest
Domani sarà lo stesso
E piango (sai perché)

Oggi è il domani
Nel lato remoto del mondo
E tutto è possibile
Se soltanto vedi il sangue

È soltanto ieri
Il sangue morente rosso nell'ovest
Domani non deve essere lo stesso

Sai perché (dobbiamo provarci).

Ciao, Lorenzo! I just wanted to correct a couple of words in these lyrics.
I'm very honored you've chosen my song for your website. Grazie. Jeanetta Calhoun (jlcalhoun@ou.edu)

Thanks Jeanetta, I corrected the lyrics. It's always a big pleasure and a honour when the authors of the songs write us.
I have to remark that this website exists because of people who wrote the antiwar songs. We are just doing the "dirty work" of collecting them :)
