Il protagonista Antoine Roquentin fa riferimento alla canzone Some of these days in nove passi.
Silence.
Some of these days You'll miss me honey!
» La voix chante: Some of these days You'll miss me honey.

Silenzio.
Some of these days You’ll miss me honey.
La voce canta: Some of these days You’ll miss me honey. [Jean Paul Sartre]

Adiessa, adieu.

Forgive, good-bye, Odessa-mother,

And the Black Sea, stubbornly
Waves breaking on your granite.

Thank you for giving me birth!

[1] It’s an inaccuracy, likely due to an automatic translation. Should be something like “port stairway “. It refers to the Potemkin Stairs, famous place from the movie Battleship Potemkin by Sergei Eisenstein. Further to the independence of Ukraine it has been renamed Primorsky Stairs / Приморські сходи , even if the people usually calls it by the old name ( at least, till February 2022)

SOME OF THESE DAYS

Life is a book so they say
Of records on each page
I turned my first leaf when I went upon the stage
The road was rough and it was tough
Especially for a girl alone
Heartaches, sighing, nights of crying
For my folks at home
Why I remember
Way back when
Way back when I was a young Connecticut lass
I was just as green as grass
And lots of nerve, no class
And the men I met then
They were some sweet bunch
That a star they'd make me
Right away they tried to date me
But I had a giddish hunch
Then there came a day for a job pay
I wondered if I'd make it
Only twenty things
But when your broke it seems a fortune
And you take it
And then there came along one fine song

I hope you'll never forget to remember me
When you hear

Some of these days
You'll be so lonely
Some of these days
You'll miss me honey
You'll miss my huggin'
You're gonna miss my kissin'
You're gonna miss me honey
When I'm far away

I feel so lonely for you only
'Cause you know honey
You'll have your way
And when you leave me
You know it's gonna grieve me
Gonna miss your big fat mama
Your mama
Some of these days
Some of these days
You'll miss me honey
Some of these days
You're gonna be so lonely
You'll miss my huggin'
You're gonna miss my kissin'
You're gonna miss me honey
When I'm far away

Then I'll be so lonely for you only
'Cause you know honey
You had your way
And when you leave me
You know it's gonna grieve me
Gonna miss your big fat mama
Your mama
Some of these days.

SOME OF THESE DAYS

Some of these days
You're gonna miss me, honey
Some of these days
You're gonna feel so lonely

You'll miss my huggin'
Gonna miss my kissin'
Gonna miss me, honey
When I'm away

You'll feel so lonely
Just want me only
But you know, honey
You had your way

And when you leave me
You know it'll grieve me
Gonna miss your little mama, mama, mama
Some of these days

Some of these days
You're gonna miss me, honey
Some of these days
You're gonna feel so lonely
You'll miss my huggin'
Gonna miss my kissin'
Gonna miss me, honey
When I'm away

I feel so lonely
For you only
But you know, honey
You had your way

And when you leave me
Gonna grieve me

You're gonna miss your baby some of these days
You're gonna miss me in a thousand ways
Hey daddy, remember what I say
Some of these days
I say when you leave me
Gonna grieve me
Remember when you're all alone on the shelf
Ain't got nobody but yourself
Can't drink those Bloody Marys by yourself
Ah, ah, I say, tell me you leave me
I know, I know it's gonna grieve me
Baby, some of these days.

M. A. Numminen
NÄINÄ PÄIVINÄ

On päivät nää
kuin kangastusta.
Jos lähdet, jää
ain' murhe musta.
Saan silloin varmaan
taas päivän harmaan,
kun ääntä armaan
en kuulla voi.

Ei loista tähdet,
jos pois nyt lähdet,
ja laulu linnun
ei koskaan soi.
Et koskaan silloin
sä lausu illoin:
Oi, oma pieni armahain,
nyt luokseni jää.

Ei loista tähdet,
jos pois nyt lähdet,
ja laulu linnun
ei koskaan soi.
Et koskaan silloin
sä lausu illoin:
Oi, oma pieni armahain,
nyt luokseni jää.

Bella pagina, Riccardo G., accurata e intensa, come sai comporle.
