I need to get to work in my pick up truck
I'm running low on gas and low on bucks
So I wrote this song to sell a few CD's
Make some money to fill up my SUV.

The petroleum company can make some cash
To help finance the war on terror in Iraq..

We need gas and we need peace
We need to find a middle ground, but not in the Middle East
We all know Iraq is not where we belong
Let's just bring our soldiers all back home.

Don't get upset it's just a simple little song
A man's got to do something even if it's wrong
I'm sure that Bush ain't gonna like this tune
But he knows the pain were all going through.

When he fills his tank just like you and me
Drives all over town to try to save a penny.

We need gas and we need peace
We need to find a middle ground - but not in the Middle East
We all know Iraq is not where we belong
Let's just bring our soldiers all back home.

And when are our soldiers coming back home
They've all been gone from us much too long
Will they come back home all in one peace
Or in a pine box or with both hands and feet

No need to worry ourselves about all that shit
'cause when Bush retires he going to rein-list :-)))

Ah, we need gas and we need peace
We need to find a middle ground, but not in the Middle East
We all know Iraq is not where we belong
Let's just bring our soldiers all back home.

The politicians running, are all the same
They all point their fingers at who's to blame
How are we to choose when we cast our vote
It's hard tell them apart trough all that smoke.

My money is on the one who will bring them back
So far it's a toss up and besides I'm broke - and out of gas.
