 Tommy James and The Shondells

"This hit song from 1969 was written and performed by Tommy James and The Shondells.

According to Tommy James himself, "when I wrote Crystal Blue, it was taken from the book of Revelation: the imagery of the new Jerusalem." But I prefer to think that the "blue crystal" is really the planet Earth. This song was a big hit in 1969, the year man landed on the moon, and television viewers saw a beautiful blue round crystal sphere photographed from space.

But if we want to consider further what "blue crystal" really has the power to persuade us to have world peace, consider the Silicon Solar Cell.

As BluCrystl says: "The silicon solar cell is a true crystal, blue in color, no pollution, no environmental danger, sufficient power ( I wonder how mankind survived before the use of fossil fuel energy, coal , oil, etc.) and I cannot see one country going to war over another's silicon solar cell photovoltaic panels."
Look over yonder what do you see
The sun is a-risin' most definitely
A new day is comin' people are changin'
Ain't it beautiful crystal blue persuasion

Better get ready gonna see the light
Love, love is the answer and that's all right
So don't you give up now so easy to find
Just look to your soul and open your mind

Crystal blue persuasion, mm-hmm
It's a new vibration
Crystal blue persuasion, crystal
Blue persuasion

Maybe tomorrow when He looks down
Every green field and every town
All of his children every nation
There'll be peace and good brotherhood

Crystal blue persuasion
Crystal blue persuasion.....

He's doing rock rewind 1967 through 1969 on PBS and during a concert in Atlanta somebody handed him a poem titled crystal blue persuasion. Now how much of that poem is actually in the song he doesn't say.
