In a brilliant spring of 1968,
Things started to change a little
And the workers spoke up for their rights
It was a time of joy and sadness
But a little hope could appear for the future.

In the precious time of may, in 1968,
The fight for justice increased a lot
In the month of Love, people were not
In Fear and they disagreed with politicians’ hatred.

In the spring of 1968, in a year of Change
Politicians left us in the middle of this eternal war
And after that, they closed their golden palace’s door
And the humble people believed that it will be better
If rich men did not anything, they should shut up forever.

Because in the beautiful spring of 1968,
The tired workers fought for better work conditions
While politicians were searching the way to stop them
But it’s true that Love was sometimes very forgotten
And things changed just a little, but workers’ hope was bigger.

But it’s true that in a brilliant spring of 1968,
Some righteous men were killed for their ideals too
They were killed for their beliefs in peace and equality
This year of change was also a cruel time full of tragedy
And it was really a mad time of no matter what or who!

But we have to say that all this sad stuff appeared
Because it was a serious time of true Freedom
A courageous fight for the definitive Freedom
I would say that these deaths were not justified
But they were very important for the fairness fight!

And that’s why, sometimes I see this time with joy
Despite many men lived without any kiss or hope
Despite that cold breeze froze our wishes of peace
Despite the saddest rivers of tears started to freeze
And they increased a lot in a huge flood of Sorrow!
And the trees survived without their tender leaves
All around the vacuum of a mad land full of despair!

But in the beautiful spring of 1968,
The tired workers fought for better work conditions
While politicians were searching the way to stop them
But it’s true that Love was sometimes very forgotten
And things changed just a little, but workers’ hope was bigger.

And politicians thought that it will be an eternal war
And with their selfishness, they closed their palace’s door
But that day, I’m sure that the future was more hopeful, oh Lord !
And I believe that It’s not necessary to say anything more!
