Corale - Voci Sommerse Storie Negate
Introdotto da un canto curdo eseguito dalla stessa Nûdem Durak, la canzone è nata per aderire alla campagna di sostegno per la sua scarcerazione. Nûdem proviene da una famiglia di cantastorie. Fin da giovanissima, tramandava attraverso le canzoni la memoria del popolo curdo. Stava registrando un suo CD quando nel 2015 è stata arrestata con l’accusa di promuovere il terrorismo. Da allora è rinchiusa nelle carceri turche fino al 2034. Abbiamo con Nûdem un rapporto epistolare cartaceo.
Torniamo al 2020: ad ispirare la prima canzone dal titolo “Donna chiama libertà” è la storia di Nûdem Durak, giovane musicista curda imprigionata nelle carceri turche dal 2015 per avere cantato nella propria lingua. Questo brano sarà la scusa per avviare una corrispondenza con lei e dunque cercare di restituire ancora luce alla vicenda oltre che partecipare alla campagna internazionale per la sua scarcerazione.
