Parole e musica di Bettina Wegner
La canzone che intitola l'album del 1985, con Konstantin Wecker

Kein Ton mehr, der klingt
meine Stimme zerspringt
alles sauber und kalt
wird Gefühl zu Gewalt.
Geld ist alles, was zählt
und die Wende gewählt.
Alle Straßen sind fremd
ist kein Haus, das mich kennt.
Ich hab Heimweh
nach Heimat,
wo das auch sein mag.

Und die Worte von Strauß (*)
und das "Ausländer raus".
Jeder Türke zuviel
für die gibts kein Asyl.
"Geh doch rüber, du Sau"
sagt ein Mann, der ist blau
Hakenkreuz an die Wand
Einen Stein in der Hand
hab ich Heimweh
nach Heimat,
wo das auch sein mag.

Von Raketen umstellt
toter Regen, der fällt
und mit Engelsgeduld
bauen wir weitere Schuld
und für Wärme kein Raum.
Ich hab Angst noch im Traum
habe Sehnsucht, will fort
und weiß doch keinen Ort
hab nur Heimweh
nach Heimat,
wo das auch sein mag.

Heimat,
wo das auch sein mag

Heimat,
wo das wohl sein mag?

(*) Franz Josef Strauss (1915-1988), un "grosso" politico della DC tedesca...

HOMESICK FOR HOME

No sound ringing anymore
My voice shatters
Everything clean and cold
Thus sentiment becomes violence.
Money is everything that counts
And the Change has been voted for.
All the streets are alien
There is no house where I'm known
I'm homesick
For home
Wherever that may be

And the words of Strauß1
And the "Foreigners out".
Every Turk one too many
No asylum for them.
"Go over to the other side, you pig"
Says a man who is drunk
Swastika on the wall
A stone in my hand
I'm homesick
For home
Wherever that may be

Surrounded by missiles
Dead rain falling down
And with angelic patience
We build up more debt
And no room for warmth.
I'm scared, even in my dreams
I have a yearning, want to go away
And yet I don't know a place
I'm just homesick
For home
Wherever that may be.

Home
Wherever that may be.

Home
Where may it be?

Versione italiana di Francesco Mazzocchi
NOSTALGIA DELLA PATRIA

Nessun suono più, che risuona,
la mia voce esplode,
tutto pulito e freddo,
il sentimento diventa violenza.
Il denaro è tutto quello che conta
e sceglie i cambiamenti.
Tutte le strade sono straniere,
non c’è nessuna casa che mi conosce.
Io ho nostalgia
della patria,
dovunque possa essere.

E le parole di Strauß
ed il "fuori gli stranieri".
Ogni turco è di troppo,
per quelli non c’è asilo.
"Via di qua, porco"
dice un uomo, livido,
croce uncinata alla parete,
una pietra in mano.
Ho nostalgia
della patria,
dovunque possa essere.

Circondati da missili,
morta la pioggia che cade,
e con la pazienza degli angeli
accumuliamo altro debito,
e per il calore nessuno spazio.
Io ho paura anche nel sogno,
ho nostalgia, voglio andar via,
ma non so nessun luogo,
ho solo nostalgia
della patria,
dovunque possa essere.

Patria,
dovunque possa essere,

patria,
e dove può essere?
