Reality was a wartime album, written and cut during the United States’ invasion of Iraq in the spring of 2003. It was the record of a man living in a city whose attack had provided the justification for the war; it was the work of a British expatriate sickened by the war’s long, seemingly orchestrated media buildup.

“Reality” era un album in tempo di guerra, scritto apposta per l'invasione degli Stati Uniti dell'Iraq nella primavera del 2003. E' stato la testimonianza di un uomo che viveva nella città il cui attacco aveva fornito la giustificazione per la guerra; è stato il lavoro di un espatriato britannico disgustato dalla lunga preparazione di quella guerra, ben orchestrata dai media.

“Fall Dog” - intraducibile, parrebbe quasi uno dei nomignoli che gli americani usano spesso dare ai loro ordigni di morte, come la “Fat Man” di Nagasaky – è sicuramente George W. Bush o, meglio, Dick Cheney, il suo fido scudiere nonché ai vertici della multinazionale “multiservizi” Halliburton, che con la guerra ha fatto e continua a fare un sacco di soldi.
Ma oggi il protagonista di “Fall Dog Bombs The Moon” potrebbe essere benissimo Donald Trump, uno che inorridisce ed esplode d'ira per quei bellissimi bambini gassati da Bashar al-Assad dimenticando tutti i bellissimi bambini trucidati, deliberatamente o per errore, nelle guerre americane di questi ultimi decenni...
Per esempio, e restando solo agli ultimi eventi, non sono stati forse i bombardieri americani che a Mosul nel marzo scorso hanno ammazzato 150, forse 200 civili, molti i bimbi, in un colpo solo?!? Il progetto Airwars, che monitora i “danni collaterali” causati dai bombardamenti della coalizione anti ISIS a partire dal giugno 2014, calcola che i civili uccisi siano ad oggi ormai almeno 3.000...
Già, e allora di cosa inorridisce The Donald?!?
Ipocriti e impostori, come al solito, manica di assassini di massa, tutti quanti, terroristi che accusano gli avversari di terrorismo, e interi popoli presi nel mezzo, ostaggio di tutti questi “Fall Dogs” assetati di potere, di petrolio e di sangue, tutti identici tra loro, che si chiamino Bush, Obama, Clinton, Trump, oppure Assad, Putin, Al-Baghdadi, o ancora re Salmān dell'Arabia Saudita, Erdoğan, Netanyahu, Rouhani...
