Kevin wrote this song after his brother-in-law was killed in Iraq. He says: "I wrote this song in his honor and in disgust to the government at that time... to speak the truth!"

Here in my world it's not that crazy – at is used to be
but it seems to be getting crazy more – every day
The TV keeps talking - oh it just won't shut up..
and the walls keep rocking
and the bombings won't stop..

Your phony yellow ribbons simply –tear a hole
in my heart I know, there is nothing we control
The voices that you hear, – they come quickly but then fade..
But the boys die in the sun
and they are blinded -by the shade.

And you tell me the world is a better – place to live
And the bombs and the deaths are all a necessary bid
People will understand – and one day come around..
But commonly the world -keeps shaking their fist – in the ground!

The coffins line up the streets and you still don't shy away
Telling all of that we're wrong, and leading us into dismay.
Oh the evil is among us – and we just don't understand
Why lord when will this misery – ever end??

The blood on your hands will stain generations to come
All the fear and the anger, so many of us have begun
To believe and regret you wasted all of their deaths
Oh history wont forget you when the day of reckoning – comes..

And you tell me the world is a better place to live
And the bombs and the deaths are all a necessary bid
And people will understand and one day come around..
But commonly the world keeps shaking their fist in the ground!

And commonly the world keeps shaking their fist..
in the ground!
