Passion Fruit Extract
(Egypt…Egypt… Moving away…)

I've a tale to tell about the hell of blind belief
Slave whipped by lording jerks with perks and dog collars
Bound and chained to religious ritual and abuse

(Egypt…Egypt… Moving away…)

Mired in dirty mud brick dogmatic sermons
Planning escape I fled to the fires of freedom
Through the waters of tears and the breeze of unknowing

Through the desert of despair to the sands of silent hope
Searching for milk and honey and the Promised Land
On a journey with no paved road or marked signposts
Over sun drenched plains of sentient questioning thought

The winds of change howl where they will unceasing
Forget homophobia, Islamophobia, racism, sexism, slavery
Sip the refreshing wine of free thought flowing
Change is unrestricted and doesn't look back..
