LE CHANT DU CORBEAU

« Je suis venu de bien loin
Pour porter la mauvaise nouvelle.
J'ai surmonté la montagne,
J'ai traversé le nuage bas,
J'ai contemplé mon ventre dans l'étang.
J'ai volé sans repos
Cent milles sans repos
Pour trouver ta fenêtre
Pour trouver ton oreille
Pour t'apporter la triste nouvelle
Qui arrache la joie de ton sommeil,
Qui pourrit ton pain et ton vin,
Qui s'installe chaque soir en ton cœur. »

Ainsi chante-t-il abject, dansant
Au-delà de la vitre, sur la neige.
Il se tait, regarde malignement,
De son bec, signe le sol d'une croix
Et tient ouvertes ses ailes noires.
