Il “panalivio” è una forma di canto dei neri peruviani i cui temi costanti sono lo sfruttamento e l’oppressione.
La canzone – con il titolo “Ahí viene mi caporal” - fa parte anche del repertorio di Nicomedes Santa Cruz.

Il “caporal” (col suo “chicote”, la frusta) è proprio il nostro “caporale”, il guardiano degli schiavi per conto dei padroni, l’intermediario delle braccia, il commerciante di carne umana…
