Well they tell us to wave the flag high
So the people will have something to look at
While women and children die
And of course there's much death and destruction
But don't you look so sad
There's a whole bunch of oil and contracts to be had

There were no WMD's, no nuclear program, and as for
Al Qaeda - never a connection
But this war did its job and won another election
So I guess it's OK that they told us so many lies
As long as our bombs are killing to democratize

Now there's mothers and wives on both sides
Wailing with tears in their eyes
But you must understand there's an economy to privatize
And the Iraqis want sovereignty, well that's just a pity
And if they keep fighting for it,
Well then we'll just destroy another city

So now we've recruited more terrorists
Than Osama could in many a year
But hey, we'll be all right as long as
There's no gay marriage here
There are some zealots who drop bombs
In the name of Allah
While Bush and Cheney just do it for the dollar

So come on people and wave that flag a little more
And whatever you do, don't question this war.
