Biscuits And Milo

Daniel Cheong
Language: English

Running till no breath is left
Finally a place of rest
Some people say it's protection I call it a fence

Is it an offence, to flee in defence?
Can 8000 mentally distressed?
Women and children were not spared
Wounds to the heart by bullets

The more they know the more they cry
Calling for angels from the sky
In unknown language
But you understand, it's
For their lives…

A nod and knees bent
Two hands together, asking for
Nothing more than Biscuits and Milo

Reach down to them
Look into their eyes
You could almost hear
I don't wanna die,
I don't wanna die…

The powers have agreed on
This is not where they belong
Send them back once and for all
Deal with them out of my soil.

A couple of separated
Some choices have been made-d
I rather forsake myself here
Than to relive my fears

The more they know the more they cry
Calling for angels from the sky
In unknown language
But you understand, it's
For their lives…
A nod and knees bent
Two hands together, asking for
Nothing more than Biscuits and Milo…

Reach down to them
Look into their eyes
You could almost hear
I don't wanna

Almost giving up this part
Hope shines from the dark
But all of this superficially
Are temporary means to live

Maybe it's the extra dollars
Maybe it's the fear of spiders
Maybe it's the heart so very cold
It's working anymore

The more they know the more they cry
Calling for angels from the sky
In unknown language
But you understand, it's
For their lives…
A nod and knees bent
Two hands together, asking for
Nothing more than Biscuits and Milo…

Reach down to them
Look into their eyes
You could almost hear
I don't wanna die…
