Punk Rock, Hard Core, Nuclear Music, These are some of the ways to describe Devastation Masters, an old school punk band from Binghamton, NY. The music is gritty and raw, fast and loud. It's a message you can dance to. The lyrics are hard hitting and politically driven.
Devastation Masters has a long, broken yet proud history. Off and on for the past 23 years this band has heated many nightclub stages with nuclear sound.
Devastation Masters aka DVM was the biggest thing in the Binghamton Music Scene during the 1980s and was disbanded when lead singer, Duncan Fortner moved from the area in 1996. But the band is back and better than ever. Devastation Masters is music you can slam to but this band is more than punk rock gold. DVM is meaning and protest. Even the titles tell the story, with songs like Wipe It Out, Clean The Water and Liberty
Devastation Masters was born in 1983 and are still kicking ass today! DVM are ABomb, Dan Johnston and Tom Sedlock. DVM live in Binghamton, NY and have gained popularity all over the world! Their punk is very life oriented. The lyrics definitely speak for themselves, with songs like "Abortion", "Surgeon General", "Paparazi", "At War With The Usa", and "Nuclear Warning"! These guys are the real deal! Punk rock at it's best! The band has matured and the new music will pretty much speak for itself. all i can say (because I've heard it) is their new CD is the most ass kickin' dvm has ever produced and they are tighter than ever! this new CD will feature a 3 piece - ABomb, dan and tom, with ABomb doing vocals.....Duncan (ABomb's brother the original vocalist) now lives in Missouri. The name describes the music or maybe it's the music that describes the name. One or the other, I forget which.
Do you play live?
DVM plays live, dead or just plain loud. The next question is where? Well where ever there's a stage that needs to be filled. Do we like it? Silly question there. We do it cause we have to. It's either this or clean our rooms. Every moment in the music is special. It's not about girls or money or fame, it's all about the music and playing for any other reason is a waste of time.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, for small, unsigned bands like DVM, the internet and mp3 revolution is great because it's a cheap way to get your stuff heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yea, we'd sign, but I'm sure if we did the guitarist would have sex in the bathroom with a secretary the next day and we'd get sacked anyway.

Favorite spot?
NYC baby. Like Joey says New York Really Has It All.

Seriously, DVM is about to release a new CD entitled "PEACE CRIMES" and at about the same time A-Bomb will be releasing his solo album "CHRISTIANS THROWING STONES" so get ready for the heat.
