Nicola Andreani (1984) is an illustrator, screenwriter and comic researcher. He worked as assistant to comic artists such as Manuele Fior, Alessandro Tota and Sualzo.
In 2014 he published a book about comics Graphic Novel. Il fumetto spiegato a mio padre, NPE, 2014 [eng: Graphic Novel. Comics explained to my father] and during this time he got his PhD in Comics at La Sorbonne University in Paris (France) and at University of Bologna (Italy) with a thesis about the origins of comics: Comics and sequentiality. The forms of image storytelling.
He teaches Comics and Illustration in Paris (France) at Ateliers Terre et Feu.
Between 2020 and 2023 he was a member of the Executive Committee of Associazione Umbria Fumetto, in charge of the management of Biblioteca delle Nuvole, the comics library of Perugia (Italy). He’s a member of La Condamine artists collective.
