Bindi BlacherBindi Blacher’s heart felt, melodic songs, coupled with solid guitar grooves make her a compelling act. Well crafted, original songs, and a strength and honesty set to inspire makes her one of Adelaide's finest talents.

A songwriter for over ten years, Bindi has released a CD of original songs ("Down"), with a second CD due for release later this year. Influences include: Tori Amos, PJ Harvey and Ani Difranco.

In 2003 Bindi was priviledged enough to appear on two internationally released compilations "Peace Not War" (alongside artists such as Billy Bragg, Ani Difranco, Public Enemy and Massive Attack), and "Sounds of Dissent", a CD giveaway with the New Internationalist magazine (Aug 2003).

Bindi has performed extensively as a solo artist, in a diverse assortment of music ensembles including Melaleuca (acoustic duet, strings and voices), Headonastick (funky eclectic blues), Rosehip Sunday (pop-rock, four-part harmonies), Compost Kids (environmental education) and Zero (vocal harmonic choir). She has also composed works for theatre and dance performances.

Bindi Blacher is a dedicated and passionate performer. Her song is emotive and real, taking the audience on a journey from soft vulnerability to gutsy proclamations of power. A captivating performer.
