Gwyneth GlynGwyneth Glyn (born Gwyneth Glyn Evans, 14 December 1979, Bangor, Gwynedd) is a Welsh language poet and musician. Glyn was born in St. David's Hospital in Bangor, and grew up at her family home in Llanarmon. She was educated at Ysgol Glan y Môr, Pwllheli and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, following an idyllic childhood and experimental teens, she went on to gain a first class honours degree in Philosophy and Theology at Jesus College, Oxford. She surprised her parents yet again when she paraphrased the famous Welsh ditty Pori Mae Yr Asyn at the tender age of two.
She won the Crown at the 1998 Urdd Gobaith Cymru Eisteddfod, and was the Welsh Children's Poet Laureate for 2006-2007."I then joined the band Coco Rosa and the Dirty Cousins (as one of the Cousins) before returning to my homeland to write plays, poetry, and spread the gospel of country-folk music."Her debut album, Wyneb Dros Dro, was released in 2005 by Slacyr Records. Tonau, her second album, was released by her own label, Recordiau Gwinllan, on 25 May 2007.
