Dispatch is three: Brad Corrigan, Pete Heimbold and Chad Urmston. Three band mates, three front men. They have been writing, performing and recording together since 1995, when they first began spreading their funk and reggae influenced pop tunes to private academies and colleges throughout the Northeast. The band’s catchy melodies and playful demeanor on stage quickly earned them a tight underground following. Six years later, the east coast continues to embrace this power trio as a college favorite, while word rapidly spreads west. Fans flock to see their live shows, selling out performances in Boston (Fleet Pavilion), New York City (Irving Plaza), Philadelphia (The Electric Factory), Washington DC (9:30 Club), Boulder, CO (The Fox Theatre) and more.

Dispatch has released four albums to date, each on the band’s own label, Bomber Records. Their debut CD, Silent Steeples (Bomber Records, 1996), displays much of the band’s acoustic strength, while their electric follow-up, Bang Bang (Bomber Records, 1997) lays a solid groove throughout all 10 songs. Despite their variances, every Dispatch recording displays the seasoned songwriting, infectious melodies and ambitious three part harmonies that define Dispatch’s signature sound. And while the band’s following is largely underground, the music industry has been watching this growing young group for several years.

The band’s most recent release, Who are We Living For?, debuted at #17 on Billboard’s top selling internet releases in its first week. Rolling Stone Magazine listed it as one of the top ten releases in 2000. Most of the high intensity recording featured on the album was captured at Bearsville Studios (New York), in the presence of their long time producer/engineer Jack Gauthier, with the exception of three tracks recorded at London Bridge Studios (Seattle) with Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Blind Melon).

Look for the much anticipated release of Dispatch’s double live disk, Gut The Van (BomberRecords/DCN). In stores November 6, 2001 and mixed by Brett Eliason (Pearl Jam), Gut The Van features live moments from the band’s 2001 performances, plus some classic musical moments and fan favorites from Dispatch’s past.
