Mishke Alpert [Michael Alpert] / מישקע אַלפערט

Michael Alpert was born in the 1950's in Los Angeles. He is one of the foremost musicians of the Klezmer Revival scene, an original in the pioneer band Kapelye and currently plays with Brave Old World. He has played and taught all over the world, and quite often in Germany where, ironically, klezmer music enjoys a rare popularity.
