The FartzThe Fartz (pronounced "the farts") was one of the first well known Hardcore bands from Seattle, Washington. In 1982 they released a LP entitled "World Full of Hate" on Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles Records. Vocalist Blaine Cook later went on to sing for the hardcore/thrash band The Accüsed. Early drummer Duff McKagan later gained notoriety as a member of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses. Also, featured Tommy Hanson on guitar, later founding member of the band Crisis Party.

They continued to play shows in Washington and surrounding states till about around 2003.
